Beta Glucan is an immune system T-Cell stimulant. Correctly known as Beta 1,3/1,6 Glucan. The "1,3/1,6" refers to an exact molecular linkage in a one-three, one-six pattern. Several materials in nature contain glucans, such as certain mushrooms and oats, but only Baker's yeast contains the 1,3/1,6 linkage.
